Terms of Service

Last updated: 19 May 2026

Welcome to rmndr. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our smart pill pot, mobile application (“App”), and any associated services or dashboards (collectively, the “Service”), provided by rmndr ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom (“rmndr,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1) Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. If you are a parent or legal guardian using the Service for or on behalf of a dependent under 16, you represent that you have the legal authority to do so and accept responsibility for the dependent’s use.

2) Description of the Service

The Service consists of:

  • a smart pill pot that helps track medication adherence;

  • a mobile App that communicates with the pill pot to provide reminders and analytics; and

  • an optional dashboard through which you may share medication data with third parties (e.g., family or carers).

The pill pot and App are designed to function together and may not be fully usable independently. You are responsible for having a compatible device/OS, granting required permissions (e.g., notifications, NFC), and keeping the App updated.

3) User Responsibility and Limitations of the Service

rmndr is a reminder and habit-tracking tool. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and is not a substitute for the judgement of a qualified healthcare professional.

3.1 You are responsible for your own medication.

By using rmndr, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are solely responsible for taking your medication correctly, on time, in the dose prescribed, and in line with the instructions of your prescribing healthcare professional.

  • rmndr does not verify the accuracy of the medication names, dosages, schedules, or any other information you enter into the App. The reminders rmndr sends are based entirely on what you enter, and rmndr is not responsible for errors arising from incorrect input.

  • You should follow your healthcare professional's instructions, not the App, in any case where the two differ.

  • rmndr is intended as a supplementary aid. You should not rely on it as your sole means of remembering to take medication, particularly for medication that is time-critical, life-sustaining, or where missed or delayed doses pose a serious health risk (for example, anti-rejection medication, certain cardiac drugs, or insulin).

  • If you have a condition where missed or delayed doses pose a serious risk, you should discuss with your healthcare professional whether any reminder system, including rmndr, is appropriate for you and what additional safeguards you should put in place.

3.2 Reminders are not guaranteed.

rmndr's reminders depend on technologies that are outside our complete control. We cannot guarantee that every reminder will be delivered or received. Reasons a reminder may not reach you include, but are not limited to:

  • Phone settings (Do Not Disturb, Focus modes, Silent mode, notifications disabled)

  • Operating system or App updates

  • Mobile network or Wi-Fi outages

  • Low or depleted battery

  • Hardware faults in your phone or in the Smart Pill Pot

  • Issues with Apple's notification servers

  • App or backend service downtime, including planned maintenance

  • Force majeure events

While rmndr uses iOS Critical Alerts to deliver reminders even when your phone is on silent or in Do Not Disturb mode, this feature depends on iOS and is not guaranteed in all circumstances.

3.3 In an emergency.

rmndr is not designed for, and must not be used in, medical emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 999 or NHS 111 immediately. Do not rely on the App for any urgent medical situation.

3.4 No medical advice.

Any information presented in the App — including dose history, adherence statistics, streaks, achievements, and dashboard summaries — is for personal informational purposes only. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a clinical record. You should not make medical decisions based on rmndr, and you should not share rmndr data with healthcare professionals as a substitute for clinical records or medical history.

3.5 Dashboard sharing.

rmndr lets you invite a "care-team member" — for example a family member, friend, or healthcare professional — to view a dashboard showing your medication adherence in real time and over longer periods.

By using this feature, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Sharing is not a substitute for active care. A care-team member viewing your dashboard does not constitute medical supervision, professional caregiving, or any guarantee that someone will notice or respond to a missed dose. We do not alert care-team members to missed doses or send any kind of emergency notification on your behalf. If you require active supervision of your medication, you should arrange this through appropriate clinical or care services, not through rmndr.

  • You choose what to share. When you invite a care-team member, you give explicit consent for rmndr to share your medication adherence data with that person. You can revoke this access at any time in the rmndr App. Revoking access prevents future viewing but cannot recall data the care-team member has already seen, screenshotted, or otherwise recorded.

  • You are responsible for who you invite. rmndr does not verify the identity of care-team members. You are responsible for entering the correct contact details and for ensuring the person you invite is someone you trust to see your medication and adherence data, which may include sensitive health information.

  • Care-team members do not assume responsibility for your medication. A care-team member viewing your dashboard is not legally or clinically responsible for ensuring you take your medication, regardless of any informal agreement between you. You remain solely responsible for your own medication as set out in Section 3.1.

  • Healthcare professionals. rmndr is not a clinical record system. If you share your dashboard with a healthcare professional, the data is informational only and is not a substitute for clinical records, medication reviews, or professional medical advice.

3.6 Allocation of risk.

Subject always to Section 14 (Limitation of Liability) and to the rights you have under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other applicable consumer protection law that cannot be excluded, you accept that the risk of relying on rmndr to remind you to take medication rests with you, and that we are not liable for missed doses, delayed doses, doses taken at incorrect times, or any health consequence of these.

Nothing in this Section 3 limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under UK law.

4) Account, Security & Acceptable Use

  • You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

  • Do not misuse the Service, including attempting to access it by any means other than the interfaces and instructions we provide; probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of any system or network; interfering with or disrupting the integrity or performance of the Service; reselling or leasing the Service; or sharing accounts.

  • If the dashboard allows sharing, you are responsible for whom you share with and for revoking access when appropriate.

5) License & Intellectual Property

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the App and device firmware solely to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of the App or firmware except to the extent such restrictions are prohibited by law.

All intellectual property rights in the Service are owned by rmndr or its licensors. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.

6) Third-Party Services & App Stores

Your download and use of the App may be subject to the terms of the relevant app store (e.g., Apple App Store). Where you subscribe or pay through an app store, the store’s billing, refunds, and cancellation rules may apply in addition to these Terms. rmndr is not responsible for third-party services or platforms.

7) Subscriptions, Trials, Billing, Taxes & Price Changes

  • Service bundle. rmndr is sold as a subscription service. Your subscription includes the Smart Pill Pot, the rmndr App, and associated dashboards. The pill pot is included with your subscription at no separate charge and is yours to keep, including if you cancel or receive a refund.

  • Free trial → paid plan. We offer a 10-day free trial, after which your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan on day 11 unless you cancel before the trial ends. You will be billed at the price and billing frequency you selected at checkout (monthly or annual).

  • Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.

  • Billing & taxes. Fees are charged in the currency shown at checkout and may include applicable taxes (e.g., VAT).

  • Cancellation.

    • If you subscribed via our website/checkout, manage/cancel via your account portal or by contacting hello@thermndr.com.

  • Effective date & refunds. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are governed by our Refund & Returns Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

  • Price changes. We may change prices or billing terms; we will give advance notice where required. Continued use after the change takes effect constitutes acceptance.

8) UK Consumer Cooling-Off Rights (Distance Contracts)

If you are a UK consumer, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 give you a 14-day cooling-off period from the day after the contract is concluded, during which you may cancel your subscription without giving a reason.

Use of the Service during the cooling-off period. If you ask us to start the Service during the cooling-off period, you may be charged a proportionate amount for the Service provided before cancellation. If the Service has been fully performed within the 14 days after your express request to start, the right to cancel may be lost.

Smart Pill Pot. The pill pot is included as part of your subscription rather than sold separately. You are not required to return it if you cancel during the cooling-off period.

How to exercise. Contact hello@thermndr.com with your order details. If you purchased via an app store or marketplace, their process may apply.

9) Shipping, Delivery, Title & Risk of Loss (Hardware)

We ship to the delivery address you provide at checkout. Delivery estimates are not guaranteed. Title and risk in hardware pass to you upon delivery. Please inspect packages upon receipt and notify us promptly of any missing, incorrect, or damaged items.

10) Hardware Warranty; Exclusions; RMA

The Smart Pill Pot comes with a 12-month manufacturer's warranty from the date of delivery, covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. This warranty is independent of any subscription and applies whether or not you have an active subscription with rmndr. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are unaffected.

This warranty does not cover: accidental damage, misuse, unauthorized modification or repair, exposure to liquids, extreme conditions, wear-and-tear, or damage arising from using the hardware contrary to our instructions.

How to claim. Contact hello@thermndr.com with proof of purchase, device serial/ID, and a description of the issue. We may provide troubleshooting steps and, if necessary, an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization). Replacement units may be new or refurbished at our discretion.

For valid warranty claims, we cover the cost of return shipping and the shipping of the replacement to you.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights; you may have other rights that vary by jurisdiction and are not affected by this warranty.

11) Service Availability; Updates; Beta Features

The Service may be unavailable from time to time for maintenance, updates, or due to third-party outages (e.g., push-notification providers, internet connectivity). We do not guarantee continuous or error-free operation.

We may introduce beta, trial, or pre-release features; such features are provided “as is,” may be withdrawn, and may have different or lesser support.

We may modify or discontinue features of the Service. For material changes, we will provide notice as reasonable.

12) Privacy

Your use of the Service is subject to our Data & Privacy Policy (the “Privacy Policy”) available at https://thermndr.com/data-privacy-policy. The Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal and health-related data, including optional demographics (gender and age band), aggregated/de-identified analytics, and business transfers. By using the Service, you acknowledge the Privacy Policy.

13) Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service, App, firmware, and hardware are provided **“as is” and “as available”**without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that reminders/alerts will be delivered or received, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty or right that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

14) Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

Subject to the foregoing, rmndr and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, use, goodwill, or profits, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.

To the extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability to you under or in connection with these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you have paid to rmndr in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) £100.

Consumers’ mandatory statutory rights are not affected.

15) Indemnity (Limited)

You agree to indemnify and hold rmndr harmless from any third-party claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of: (a) your misuse of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of law—but only to the extent such claims are caused by your acts or omissions and not by rmndr’s negligence or breach.

16) Force Majeure

We are not responsible for any delay or failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, epidemics, war, terrorism, labour disputes, governmental actions, utility or telecommunication failures, platform push-service outages, or internet disturbance.

17) Assignment; Business Transfers

We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms, in whole or in part, in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets. We will provide notice where required by law. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent.

18) Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England shall have jurisdiction, without depriving consumers of any mandatory rights under the law of their habitual residence.

19) Notices & Electronic Communications

We may provide notices by email, in-App messages, or by posting on our website. By using the Service, you consent to receive communications electronically. Please keep your contact details up to date.
